West Coast swamp rock legends Creedence Clearwater Revival cut a singular path through the late 60s counterculture, thank in no small part to mainman John Fogerty's incisive songwriting and the band's ability to work up an earthy groove that put them at the forefront of the fast-changing rock world at the end of the decade.
Their third album in 1969 alone, Willy And The Poor Boys featured the signature CCR songs Fortunate Son, Down On The Corner and The Midnight Special, and gave the group another transatlantic Top 10 hit in their breakthrough year.
Celebrating the band's 50th anniversary, Willy And The Poor Boys was given a half-speed master at London's legendary Abbey Road Studios, overseen by expert mastering engineer Miles Showell - a pioneer of the half-speed mastering technique, and pressed on 180g vinyl in a replica tip-on sleeve, for the finest possible audio and visual results.
This is a brand new, sealed edition of that reissue. An absolute must-have for fans and collectors of the band, it will be sent out for free within the UK.
