Description

An original 1st press of WILLY on UK Liberty from Xmas 1969. Matrix A1/B1. The Blue Liberty label is a 1st for this title. And the pressing quality from this period is absolutely superb. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original textured cover printed by MacNeill. We also have an original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve dated to 1970. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a few very superficial marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A through testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with super clarity. On a clean 1st copy of Willy - the audio is extremely addictive. Plays like a dream - and boy there are some great tracks on this album. Plays clean as a whistle throughout. A couple of crackles in a couple of spots per side. Highly recommended. If you cannot get down to a copy like this...there's something wrong withya...
Cover (Vg+) Usually surfaces looking a bit worse for wear. This example has very nice tidy surfaces with just a touch of ageing in evidence. Just a crease top left on the rear. There's a bit of edge wear as is very common on this title, but it has been inked in and tidied up [fair play - it looks well done]. Firm unworn openings. A bit of wear on the spine. There is a fair bit of wear on  the spine 50/50 legible and ageing in evidence. Still retains verygood rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit of ageing. Bag present. No splits.
