Description

An original 1st press of WILLY on the UK Liberty label. Matrix A1/B1. Labels are consistent with very 1st press in the UK. Pressed on lovely chunk vinyl - you just know the audio is gonna be addictive as hell. The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue textured cover printed by MacNeill. We also have the correct 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve date coded to Winter 69/70. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) Wowzer this is a beaut of a copy and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with slightest deviation once or twice. This is an absolute cracker of a copy. I won't bore you with how much I love this title.. it's just an all time great album - period! And wow they did such a great job of the audio. If you had a wish list for every record - this copy ticks all the boxes. Super clear, amazing dynamics, detail right down to the low-level, all the distortion in the guitars.. it is totally in-your-face. I love it! Whilst not quite perfect - this copy is getting very close. No signs of background anywhere. It's clean signalled throughout with fantastic resolution. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio is just maximum clarity. Plays clean into the slow builds and fades. It's really a stellar performer. I did detect a couple of crackles in a couple of spots per side, and maybe one isolated per tick. But absolutely nothing memorable, and nothing noticeable. This is an absolute cracker...
Cover (Ex-) In great condition and many original copies will not be looking this tidy by this point in time. Lovely clean front and rear that are flat with just a couple of very superficial creases. There's a small/slight sticker removal top right on the front [no big deal at all]. There's a bit edge wear in the odd place - it looks like one or two spots have been inked in - but has been done with considerable accuracy. Overall the cover has the aesthetic of a very well preserved cover - a level many original copies just will not attain. The spine is looking pretty spritely too. All text fully legible and there's precious little wear. The openings are still sharp. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very very fine looking example.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Light ageing.
