Description
The Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young album “Déjà Vu,” released in 1970 under Atlantic Records with the catalog number SD 7200, is a hallmark of the folk-rock era. The LP featured a textured, faux-leather gatefold cover with a distinctive “old timey” photograph of the band on the front, without accent marks on the labels for the album title. The Presswell pressing is denoted by a “PR” suffix in the label matrix, and this version included a gold imprint on the cover. The album was manufactured by Atlantic Recording Corporation and recorded at Wally Heider’s Studio III in Los Angeles. Notably, the album includes contributions from outside musicians like Jerry Garcia on pedal steel guitar for “Teach Your Children” and John Sebastian on harmonica for the title track. It was critically acclaimed upon release, going Gold in the US within two weeks and spending 88 weeks on the Billboard 200 charts.
