This press is the ultra rare Canadian one which is far rarer than the UK one. The vinyl is nice and heavy.

 Very Rare and this classic Dando Shaft album will rarely be seen or offered. The record, apart from a couple of odd paper scuffs (as light as they ever get) and storage traces (yes this is rather old, but totally defies it), is wonderful and plays very well' IT IS LITERALLY IN UNBELIEVABLE OVER THE COUNTER CONDITION.  Truly a remarkable copy and just one of several from this amazing collection. These progressive gems and classics are to be treasured, they rarely ever show up or made available for sale especially like this.

On their first album, Dando Shaft came off as something like a more folk-oriented, yet also more hippie-oriented Pentangle. The percussive pulse of Roger Bullen's bass in particular gave much of the material a rhythmic swing that helped it stand apart from traditional folk, as did original material based around images of nature: rain, wind, leaves, the dawn, flowers, the country, and so on. The singing and songwriting betrayed a notable debt to Bert Jansch, though with a more whimsical bent that Jansch usually allowed. Their greatest assets, certainly in terms of putting their own stamp on a sound that bore close resemblance to aspects of Pentangle (and, more distantly, the Incredible String Band), were the colours added by multi-instrumentalist Martin Jenkins' mandolin, flute, and violin. As progressive folk that was pastoral in mood and not quite folk-rock, it was pleasant  as their unavoidable reference point, Pentangle. The Pentangle comparisons would if anything multiply when they added a female vocalist, Polly Bolton, for their next two albums. (From : Allmusic.com)

Vinyl: NM.  Not any spindle traces. Barely played and quite possibly unplayed before my grading test play. The audio is exquisite and this vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic classic. The audio has beautiful separation and there is no background noise. There are no marks and no discernable hairlines. This vinyl looks and sounds great with a beautiful glossy sheen.  I played this in full and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful clean and loud audio. I was even tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this ever again, it is indeed mega rare these days.  Only two or three went up for sale this last year. Needless to say NO jumps ,clicks or anything untoward. I don't think a better one will ever be presented!!

Sleeve: EX to EX+.  Wow!! Fantastic looked after  sleeve without any issues. Beautiful deep unfaded colours.. A  beautiful spine. No tears, no writing. Lyrics printed to the rear. The album has been kept in a protective sleeve!!  No writing, no marks , no splits or tears!! A fantastic ultra crisp opening. The lightest of ring to the rear near the top and bottom, barely noticeable. Probably one of the best ever to be found for this phenomenal album. A phenomenally rare album and rumoured to only have been pressed in a very small quantity of a couple of hundreds. How many would have survived over the last 47 years??
