I am having an Autumn clean of my vinyl collection and am listing some gems over the next week....
This auction is for the rare and excellent EP: LISTEN MOVE and DANCE Vol 3, Electronic Sound Patterns by the highly influential Daphne Oram. Mono press on HMV from 1962/ (7EG 8762). An early EP of electronic experiments put together by Oram (co-founder of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop) which was part of the Listen, move and dance series (Volume 3) in association with the BBC to help children dance.
"By using audio generators, many tape recorders, filters, ring modulators and other electronic devices she built up the tone colours, pitched each of the notes separately, gave them duration and dynamics and finally spliced the notes together to obtain the required rhythms and sequences..."
