DARK - DARK ROUND THE EDGES
A barely played copy of this coveted 1991 limited edition re-issue with near mint vinyl and flawless stereo sound quality
Year/Label : 1991 UK DARKSIDE (originally released in 1971) Label number : darkside 001 Matrix numbers : DRTE A1 &, DRTE B1 & (both etched)The condition of the vinyl is near mint (NM) - I am unable to detect any blemishes on eitehr side of the vinyl even when viewed closely under a bright light. Gorgeous jet black sheen and completyely unmarked - amazing! Again the condition of each label is near mint (NM) - not even the usual one or two extremely faint rogues spindle trails - pristine! Clearly this is a record that has been played only a handful of times, perhaps even only once or twice. The condition of the outer sleeve is an undoubted excellent (EX) - each edge remains firm with no scuffing at all, the spine is rigid with just a few tiny "nicks" each emanating from a barely noticeable 1cm surface crinkle adjacent and perpendicular to the spine (I counted six in total), and all art work and text remains beautifully intact with crystal clear definition still. There are just a few very trivial handling/storage marks (each small and barely noticeable), and a very faint mark towards the front-side top right corner where a sticker was once located. Amazing condition! The stereo sound quality is similarly near mint (NM) : there are no sticks, skips, repeats, jumps, distortion, clicks or crackle...just flawless stereo sound quality throughout with every track a great listen. And every track really is a great listen - prog, psych, metal : it's all here with plenty of explosive guitar work. What a brilliant album this is! Comes with original, and again mear mint condition, insert with the lyrics on one side and the group's bassist on the other, and plain white anti-static inner sleeve.
No wonder this album was voted 13th in Record Collector's rarest records Millenium Guide - totally under the radar when first released in 1971 and now recognised as a rock masterpiece!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
