Description

This is an unplayed, mint, promo copy of the 1986 Australian pressing of the soundtrack to Jim Henson’s film Labyrinth, catalogue number ST.240578 featuring Trevor Jones’ score and the David Bowie tracks ‘Magic Dance’, ‘Chilly Down’, ‘As The World Falls Down’ , ‘Within You’ & Underground’ 


The labels feature the EMI America logos, but this version was released by EMI Records Australia and the back cover includes the details “Manufactured and distributed by EMI Music Group of companies, Sydney, Australia and Lower Hutt, New Zealand”


Both labels also have the EMI black stamp - Sample Not For Sale. 


This copy has the EMI sticker on the top right corner of the back cover which reads, Sample Record, Not For Sale, For Promotional Use Only.

The back cover also includes the barcode number 5099924057813 and ‘Mastered on Copper’, which was a big deal back in 1986!


This album has been in my collection since 1986, stored in a climate controlled room and has never been played, so the label has no spindle marks and the vinyl is pristine. The inner sleeve with full songwriting and production credits and two mono production photos of DB is also mint.


It’s a great collectors item for Bowie vinyl completists.
