Description
You are buying a used Voodoo by D'Angelo. I bought this from a record store years ago, one of my favorite albums and I've owned multiple copies albeit not this one of course. Since the white color pressing has been out of print for a long time and has been creeping up in value I wanted to finally play grade this copy before listing. I used headphones through a spare rig with a P-mount cartridge (80's Technics not a suitcase player) since this gives the closest results to a common standard. Both records are flat, although the spindle hole on sides C/D is a little tight (easy fix if this bothers you). I heard some noise floor which is more prevalent with white vinyl than black IMO and the occasional tick. I did not hear any loud pops/jumps/locked grooves/whooshing/etc... so I will say all sides play really well. The worst part of this listing is the record sleeve as it has several large creases probably more than the usual 2 records in 1 one sleeve design exhibit. While not the most noticeable given the dark cover art and nice matte finish it would be great to see this record get the top-of-the-line audiophile treatment someday since D'Angelo and the Soulquarians created a neo-soul masterpiece. Also, the cheap feeling insert is included of course. Item will be shipped in a record mailer with a plastic sleeve to help prevent seam splits and "fragile" stickers. Thanks for looking.
