Description
Rare Decca UK stereo ffss LP, SXL 2246, 1E/1E matrix suffixes, 'Original Recording By...' on label rim, Mendelssohn in Scotland, Symphony No. 3 a 'Scotch', Fingal's Cave, London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Peter Maag.?
Front-laminated, flip back sleeve has edge and corner creasing and wear, a small spine tear and corner tear both repaired with sellotape, and ringwear visible front and back. Overall, the sleeve grades VG minus.
Vinyl side 1 has a few light hairlines, plus an obvious line that runs across band one and into band two. There is some background crackle at the start of this side, and the line causes a few occasional clicks, but not constant and repetitive. Side 2 has similar light hairlines, and four more obvious lines but, again, these seem not too obtrusive to the strong audio, causing only the occasional click and pop. There is the same background crackle at the start of this side, which does dissipate as the side plays through. Overall the vinyl grades VG visually and VG+ for audio.
