Original US promo pressing on the JUBILEE label (45-5449), from 1963. Hard sounding and infectious northern soul double-sider. The debut single by the younger sister of Dionne Warwick ;) Features the killer YOU'RE NO GOOD club tune. Potent lead vocals and hip backing singers over an aggressive R&B rhythm section with big drums / blasting horn stabs / piano and a cool garage fuzz guitar solo midway. Crossover appeal for new breed / funk and mod collectors. Great for DJs. Comped on One Kiss Can Lead To Another - Girl Group Sounds Lost And Found for the Rhino Label. The DON'T CALL ME ANY MORE side is also superb. Yet another, powerful soul number with gutsy vocals / backing harmony and groovy / fragmented rhythms. Clever tempo changes throughout the arrangement. We have recorded both sides for our soundclip, opening with the amazing YOU'RE NO GOOD. This is the desirable promotional issue in flat edged styrene. Nice copy for a record that is usually always trashed. Booming production too. Rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Flat edged styrene record is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with hairlines. Some faint groove wear looking marks around intro area of  "You're No Good" side. Light surface noises (to be expected for the 1st press styrene issue) but sounds superb overall with booming production too. Small 'x' notation in pen to one side of label. The custom Mercury label paper sleeve is in strong VG+ condition with general wear. Archive sticker to front and back sleeve. Creasing and some wear and tears from storage. Rare 45!!!
