Description
DEEP PURPLE - Deep Purple III (UK Harvest, 1969) + Harvest inner sleeve
This is mega-rare UK 1st Press from November 1969 - still WITHOUT EMI logo on label and with the EARLIEST A1 / B1 matrixes. This is probably one of the best copies in existence - hardly possible to upgrade! The original Harvest 1970 LINED inner sleeve is included. I can not imagine a nicer copy!!!
This is a real rarity - very uncommon as 1st edition (released the same month as Bakerloo & Forest LP's)!!! Deep Purple with their fusion of early prog and heavy were very unpopular in UK and nobody wanted their records until the Black Night 7" and In Rock LP were released next year.
Cover: NEAR MINT Laminated and gatefold Ernest J. Day cover is very glossy and fresh (NO mattening at all) - in pristine condition except 3 short wrinkles on laminate on the bottom left corner - on back only. The front is MINT. The VERY WIDE spine is perfect and completely intact (NO single dot of wear); NO wrinkles around the edges and the opening edges are razor-sharp! The inside gatefold is free of wears and creases!!! I repeat: this is fantastic 1st Press 1969 cover - just with 3 single & small (1.5 - 2cm long) wrinkles on laminate (NO visible inside gatefold).
Record: NEAR MINT Played just once or twice. No surface marks at all except 2 or 3 tiniest hairlines on each side! Deep shine and just-pressed gloss! Great audio! NO EMI logo on pristine and clean labels - with NO single mark on. Beauty!
You can bid with confidence – check my feedback, please. My grading system is very strict – with very slight difference between M and EX. As a collector too I perfectly know, what does it mean to buy an overgraded record!!!
All my records (including 7-inches) were cleaned on Clearaudio Matrix machine and are ready to listen – without any disturbing noises or crackles caused by dirt.
I USE THE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM (M / EX / VG) - WITH ADDITIONAL ‘+’ AND ‘-‘
