Description

DEXTER GORDON ~ Dexter Calling ~ Blue Note BLP 4083 1sr US, Ear, Van Gelder VG++.

43 West 61st St. NYC address on back cover.

This is the original 1st Pressing in Mono. The original paper inner sleeve is included.


A great early 1960s recording by Blue Note Records engineering done by legendary Rudy Van Gelder.

This recording features my a young Dexter Gordon at his very best along with the rhythm section that was on the legendary Blue Train recording by John Coltrane.


The vinyl disk is VG+ and has a few light scuffs minor surface noise normal for a used record in this condition.


The cover or jacket is in VG plus with a small 1 inch piece of clear tape on the back cover but otherwise near perfect shape with strong sharp corners good binding no split seams, no holes, stickers, writing - hard cardboard and the front cover is superb clean and shiny.
