Description
DIE LAUGHING You Got The Power / Hard Living Man – 7" vinyl single release on Ocean Records from 1980 (OC003 / EJSP9411).
You are bidding for an original UK pressing of this great and obscure single recorded by Hastings trio Die Laughing. This single, the bands sole offering, presents two excellent examples of NWOBHM, released at the height of the genres popularity.
Visually this is a nice clean copy, with only a few light marks visible under a good light. There are also a couple of small spots (dirt lumps) in the pressing, one on the playing area and one on the run out.
Playing the single confirms that audibly it is in great condition, with just a little minor background noise evident during the run in/out of each side and the occasional click or pop. The dirt spot causes a very faint blip for six revolutions of You Got the Power, but really doesn’t spoil the listening experience, and obviously has been like this from new.
The labels are in great condition with only light spindle marking reiterating the fact that this copy has probably only been played a handful of times.
The cartoon picture sleeve completes the package, and this is in equally nice shape, with only slight wear and creasing and nothing that is likely to disappoint most buyers (note the gallery picture looks much yellower than the actual sleeve - the photo showing the vinyl confirms this).
Overall then this is a really great copy of the Die Laughing single, which I would grade as Ex/Ex (Vinyl / Sleeve).
