Dack & Dirk Rambo –
“When Am I Gonna Be Loved”
b/w “Why’d You Leave, Genevieve”
Z 1001
This 45rpm is on the original ZING RECORDS, agent Henry Wilsons’ brainchild/label.
Recorded in 1960, this 45rpm was released approximately September 1961.
A Jerry Fuller Production.
To note here is the song writer of “When Am I Gonna Be Loved” was a then unknown, Twenty-Four year old Glen Campbell.
American Music B.M.I. (2-956-1).
The B side “Leave, Genevieve” was written by Jerry Fuller-Four Star B.M.I. (2-9561-2).
The songs, performed by actor twins, Dack and Dirk Rambo, lean heavily towards that early 1960’s post Rockabilly teen sound. For anyone in that era with a SAG/AFTRA card, it automatically meant you had recording potential. The payouts for investors were often jaw-dropping.
A clean and shiny record, this has the most minor of wear to report. This record appears to have possibly been played a time or two, then forgotten.
