Up for grabs is an absolute holy grail for vintage jazz audiophiles and serious Blue Note collectors: a 100% verified, 1960 original MONO first pressing of Donald Byrd’s masterpiece, Fuego (Blue Note 4026).

The Matrix & Label Dead Wax Details:The Plastylite "Ear": Hand-etched cursive "P" / ear stamp is fully present on both sides. This guarantees a genuine 1960 Plastylite plant pressing.Address: "47 West 63rd New York 23" labels.
Deep Groove: Verified double deep groove (DG) indents on both sides of the labels.
RVG Stamped: Machine-stamped "RVG" in the dead wax handled directly by legendary sound engineer Rudy Van Gelder.
9M Etching: Includes the elusive "9M" etchings common to earliest masters.
Condition Assessment:
Vinyl Condition (Visual Grading): Excellent VG++The wax retains an exceptional high-gloss sheen with clean surfaces. Unmarked by any deep scuffs or distracting scratches. Beautifully preserved.
Cover Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+) Jacket front still pops with rich orange color tones. Light shelf wear visible along the edges. No seam splits anywhere! There is a small, minor paper tear on the upper right corner of the back cover, but it doesn't impact structural integrity or change how gorgeous the jacket looks on a display shellf
lnner Liner: Comes complete with its original vintage plastic inner sleeve.
