THE FIVE NOTES ON CHESS 78
- Titles are ‘Show Me The Way’ b/w ‘Park Your Love’ - always difficult to find doo-wop records in E condition. From 1955 this group was from Milwaukee originally formed in Texas. After winning some local talent shows in Texas, they were taken under a popular DJ’s wing (Chuck Dunaway) who featured them in his shows.. moving to Chicago, the group recorded some sides for Chess (like this one here). They later became The Five Masks and The Five Stars. After the group broke up Al ‘TNT’ Braggs went solo and recorded for the Duke record label and developed a reputation for pleasing the crowd when opening for Bobby Bland.
- Here are the details:
- The record is in E condition with just the lightest of scuffs - this record is part of a small collection of R n'B 78's in great shape.
- The labels have light needlerun on both sides.
- Shipping within the US will be $4.00 media mail. Rates outside the US are as advised but to Canada is only $10.00. If you plan to bid on more than one item I am more than happy to combine shipping to save you money.
