TITLE : DREUX 1985 "ECOLE MUNICIPALE DE MUSIQUE"

LABEL : CEMARD (#001)

CONDITION (Record/Cover) : EX/VG+

COMMENT : Very rare record out of France, produced by a local musical school on its own tiny private label. That includes the stunning modal jazz track "Doorstep", an original composition played by the Dreux Octet, also a nice version of Miles Davis's "Freddie The Freeloader" by Le Combo, and a sweet vocal jazz cover of " Our love is here to stay".

The press run of this LP was very limited, and for a particularly local distribution, so it is ultra difficult to find and mostly unknown even to French jazz collectors. The vinyl is clean, it shows some slight visible marks, that don't affect playing at all, the sound is perfect. The sleeve is in very nice condition overall with minimal seam wear and a few light dirt marks.

M- = Record in new condition, never played or looking like it. Sleeve as new..

EX = Record in superb condition, very rarely played, may present slight visible marks but no audible ones. Sleeve may present slight signs of natural aging.

VG+ = Record is really nice, may present a few visible marks which are slightly audible. Sleeve may present a few flaws like light openings, ringwear...

VG = Record has been played often, presents some visible and audible marks. Sleeve shows noticeable defects like heavy split seam, tears...

VG- = Record doesn't look nice because of general wear, it is in playable condition, but some/all tracks are noisy or click. Sleeve has noticeable general wear.
