Description

Best copy I've had in ages of this classic album, recorded by Westover while he was avoiding the draft in Canada in '68-69, then released upon his return in 1972. It's a beautifully dark and haunted LP, which has totally dried up since it was first uncovered in the early '90s. Comparisons to Bob Desper and Ton Vlasman seem more appropriate than the Perry Leopold ones I've seen, but it's an immediately striking downer of an album and lends itself to repeated late night listening. This copy appears to be new and unplayed. It was never sealed originally, so there is some slight storage wear to bottom portion of front cover, but most of it's still glossy. The vinyl shows some slight storage wear as well, but the pressing has never been the best anyway, so I don't think it will have any effect on listening pleasure. My VPI's in the shop right now, but a quick run through one would surely make this copy look as pristine as any. Cover is first state -- no lettraset additions of either text or airplanes -- so the title is just "Memorial", as originally planned. The 'To Fear" part was added later, as were the sometimes present (and very mysterious) airplanes seen on some versions.
