Description
Yellow label, black text with black strobe-like lines around the out edge of the label, original issue. Deep groove, mono. 4 tracks (Side 2 is 1 track). Leader, Dave Bailey,drums; Clark Terry, trumpet; Curtis Fuller, trombone; Charlie Rouse, tenor sax; Horace Parlan, piano; Peck Morrison, bass. Performed before a "live" audience. A short announcement by Bailey before each tune.
Cover: Good 4" split on the bottom edge. Some edge wear. Sticker on the front cover with the same sticker on 1 label. Light wear and light aging on the front and back cover. The wear appears uneven with darker and lighter spotting and marks.. Slightly darker aging along the edges of the back cover.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are 3 or 4 faint, short surface rub marks on each side. These do not affect the sound. On Side 1, Track 1, 3 faint clicks at the beginning of the trumpet solo. 1 revolution towards the end of the Track has short groove noise with 1 or 2 faint clicks, barely audible. On Track 2, 1 faint click near the beginning of the Track. On Side 2, a few light crackles during Bailey's verbal introduction. 1 click during Rouse's solo near the beginning of the Track. 1 click during Fuller's solo, Faint groove noise at the beginning of the bass solo. This is barely audible for 1 or 2 revolutions. 1 faint click during the bass solo at the end of the Track. Audibly checked.
