Description:

Rare Detroit doo-wop/soul 45 on the legendary Hi-Q label: Those Lonely Blue Nights b/w Oh Baby by Dave Kirk and the Candy Vans. Original 1962 red-label pressing, highly sought after by collectors of early Detroit vocal group and R&B history.


This copy comes from the private collection of a Detroit disc jockey. Provenance is evident with possible telltale DJ signs—such as faint etching of the year and minor handling wear consistent with authentic radio play. These are the very kinds of records used to deliver new sounds to teenagers in the early 1960s, when rock ‘n’ roll and soul were exploding in Detroit.


Condition:

Vinyl is in VG condition with visible surface marks but retains strong gloss. Labels show some writing (“1962”) and handling wear. Plays through with light background noise typical for an original Hi-Q pressing. No deep scratches that affect play.
