David Bowie Reality Music On Vinyl 2014 LP Orange 180 Gram Audiophile Edition Includes A 12 Page Booklet Limited To 2,500. Ultra Rare Mis-pressed Copy
Uber rare one of a kind mis-pressing of David Bowie's Reality on orange vinyl by Music On Vinyl. This has two labels on one side and none on the other. These type of mis-pressings normally never see the light of day and collector's snap them up as rarities when record companies/manufacturers slip up and accidentally release them to the public. Side B has the normal label as well as the Side A label glued down (face down) across the tracks (cannot be played). Side A has no label at all and looks spectacular (this side can be played). Earthling (green vinyl edition) had a similar error back when that was pressed. It had two labels on one side (both across the tracks, face up) and that sold on eBay for $141.50. So these rare copies are favoured by avid, die hard collectors and will only increase in value as time goes on.
Reality, the 26th album of David Bowie (2003) followed up on the heavily successful formula of Heathen, combining influences of Bowie's Seventies' past (say, from Heroes to Scary Monsters) with a contemporary new millennium vibe. David produced this album together with Tony Visconti, the dream team that also made Heathen a true work of art, resulting in yet another surefire production and memorable songs. The album made it to the top 30 of the Billboard 200, and set the course for great Bowie albums to follow.
Released in a time when vinyl popularity was at an all-time low, Reality never saw its proper official vinyl release. Until now. Each unit contains a 12-page booklet with lyrics and artwork.
