DAVID BOWIE - "Station to Station" 45th Anniversary colored Vinyl LP ( X2 )
This auction is for 2 copies of this vinyl LP !! 1 Red vinyl copy and 1 White vinyl copy. Both are still Sealed !! Read on please !
The album was made in two different colors, a red disc or a white disc was randomly inserted into the album sleeve/cover before being shrink wrapped. So, you do not know which color you were getting, until now........... Read on....
Using a cool but very bright LED tube lamp, I was able to shine light directly through the back cover of the album in a totally white area and then through the disc and front cover to determine what color disc was in each. The album cover with a red disc would show highly red just beyond where the label on the disc itself is (see the photos). A white disc would show barely a hint of light making it though. I verified this "method" by actually opening copies that I and a couple friends of mine bought to keep for our own collections. We got the analysis right each time so we each now have a red & white set opened for play as well as a sealed set. So, the identification method works! Having bought a number of copies to insure getting a red and a white copy, I now have one extra Red & White "set" and one lone extra Red LP.
