Description
David Bowie - The Man Who Sold The World LP (1970, Mercury Stereo, SR 61325). Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail. Rare, hard to find classic 70's album from David Bowie. Beautiful, eye-catching cartoon-style artwork, the colors are still vibrant enough to display in a frame. Features the title track covered many years later by Cobain/Nirvana in a live, MTV Unplugged set. This album is a glam masterpiece, which helped introduce a worldwide audience to emerging genres blooming out of the psychedelic era, including hard rock, blues rock, and folk rock. This album trades inspirations with early doom metal progenitors Black Sabbath and mixes it with some dark wave and goth rock. Hailed by many of the album that marked the start of his truly artistic career and the first "important" album of his brilliant and immense discography. Produced by Tony Visconti and featuring musicians who would later become the Spiders From Mars.
