Description
David Bowies eponymously - titled debut album. Released 1st June 1967 and recorded at Decca Studios, London between 11th Nov 1966 - 25th Feb 1967 and released by the progressive label Deram. His first album, produced by Mike Vernon is unlike the rest of Bowie's canon - as one could imagine - consisting of fourteen short narrative vignettes. David Bowie was released in the UK, in both Mono and Stereo. This is the much more RARER STEREO VERSION ( SML 1007 ). This album was a commercial failure at the time and Bowie did not release another record until "Space Oddity" two years later. In Melody Maker in October 1969 David reminisced that he put the album together in about 15mins for 5s 6d. The vinyl and labels are OUTSTANDING MINT CONDITION.. The sleeve is also OUTSTANDING with strong spine all readable but I am only going to grade it as Mint minus and this is due the odd corner being slightly blunted(me being overcautious again). From my own personal collection, i do not accept returns due to the quality of items and I try to describe the + and - of the items as accurately as possible to give bidders assurance before purchasing. Not many of these items about especially in this condition.
