Description
Original 1st UK pressing of the classic David Bowie LP “The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars”.
1st UK press matrix numbers with (earliest) 1E/1E endings, no Mainman credit on labels, sleeve or inner.
Matrix numbers:
Side 1: BGBS 0864 - 1E A1F
Side 2: BGBS 0865 - 1E A1I
Vinyl condition:
Vinyl visually grades VG+ overall with light sleeve removal marks and a few non feelable hairlines only. Some spindle marks on labels.
It plays well with a little very light background crackle in a few quiet sections/spaces between tracks but this is minimal and doesn’t come close to overpowering the music. Play grade is VG+ to EX- on side 1 and EX on side 2.
Sleeve condition:
The sleeve grades as VG+ with a little ring wear and a few light creases. No splits, writing or major damage.
The inner is VG to VG+. It has a small rip as shown but is pretty clean and free from seam splits, writing, etc.
Overall this is a very decent sounding original 1st pressing. Not perfect but still very enjoyable to listen to.
