Description
Hello and welcome to my auction for this rare 1967 first pressing of David Bowie’s legendary album Station to Station
This is a fantastic album and one of my favourite’s by far and this first pressing sounds amazing.
The vinyl:
The album is still nice deep glossy black sides one and two have lots of fine marks scuffs but nothing that causes any major problems under bright light the usual light wispy marks etc
This album plays back superbly,strong and punchy a very fresh and crisp sound
The album plays with some crackle and surface noise throughout but is mostly lost in the music and is mostly noticeable on run in grooves and quieter parts.
It’s a great sounding Record I really enjoyed play testing this I played through it twice
The labels are clean and crisp looking without any pen marks etc
The album has been fully play tested and is free from jumps and sticks.
This album is free from distortion and any groove hiss.
The album cover:
The album cover is in great condition with som discolouration being white they all turn a yellowish cream colour
The bottom edge front and back has a stain from some old tape being removed this has also taken some of the white off with it too please see pictures
Top right front has a faint signature from a previous owner and some small indentations see pictures
The album cover is in solid shape without any other damage
The original insert is present and in good condition see pictures
All in all a great sounding original first pressing of one of Bowie’s greatest albums that plays beautifully with some surface noise but certainly nothing that spoils the beauty of the music
Be quick as I will probably change my mind and pull this as it’s a really nice playing copy.
