Quadraphonic Pressing of a Classic Album, with a gold "DEMONSTRATION Not For Sale" Stamp

Can be played on either a 4-channel or a standard 2-channel stereo system. Includes the original inner sleeve (splitting on seams) featuring other Columbia artists such as Janis Joplin, Simon & Garfunkel, Barbara Strisand, Andy Williams, The Raiders, Lynn Anderson and Switched on Bach. Also includes a letter about the merits of Quad albums.

Matrix numbers are P QAL-32560-1A and P Q BL-32560-1A. Catalog numbers are CQ32560 on label, PC 32560 on the front & spine, and KC 32560 on the back cover.

Details

I bought this album about 25 years ago. It has been stored upright in a plastic sleeve since then. The photos might show some dust that should clean off easily, but I can't find my record cleaner right now. I just put this into a new acid-free poly lined sleeve.

Grade (record / sleeve)

VG+ / VG. Vinyl looks great, with minor sleeve feathers and a couple light short scratches. Minor ring wear on cover. Near center of bottom back cover, the artwork is peeling slightly. Looks like somebody accidentally nicked the cover a bit with a razor blade when they unpacked the album new in 1973. There is a small sticker on the top right corner / spine showing the catalog number, which is how it was originally issued.

All records visually graded. I use the following grading system, based on the Goldmine Grading System....

• Mint = New, unplayed.
• NM = Top grade for a used, excellent condition record.
• VG+ = Average grade for a really nice record, still glossy, possibly a few minor scuffs.
• VG = Some deeper scuffs or light scratches.
• G = Obvious wear.
• Fair = Will probably play OK on most turntables.
• Poor = Bad.
