Description

for sale is a genuine original 1st press copy of ..
david gilmour - on an island  Europe EMI 2006
matrix numbers 3556951- a1 / 3556951-b1
disc also has crossed out matrix numbers, looks like em696 -a1/ em696-b1
This is the complete original set with  heavyweight vinyl, thicker oversized gatefold double opener cover, purposely aged picture inner sleeve and plain polylined white inner sleeve. [ no booklet was issued with this first press ].
the vinyl is in near mint to excellent plus condition , only played once by me and has full glossy sheen both sides, i can see only 1 finest sleeve removal mark on 'A' side.
the outer gatefold is in excellent condition, with 2 light corner edge scuffs and a small rip on edge where disc and inner goes in [ this is quite common as the inner sleeve was made to tight for the gate fold cover on these first pressings ] please see clear photo's ]
the inner thick picture sleeve is in  near mint condition
the poster, only opened for about the 3rd time is in near mint condition too
comes with its plain white polylined inner sleeve too in excellent condition.
the vinyl plays strongly , due to its brilliant unused condition, light static in places.
this edition was a limited edition of 8,000, at time of sale and deleted!!
lp will be packed safely and strongly, i will take disc out of original inner to protect it from 'knifing' and put it in a replacement sleeve for shipping purposes.
