Decca SXL 2158 ED1 Wide Band BEETHOVEN quintet in E flat major, SPOHR in E major op.32 Vienna Octet WALTER PANHOFFER piano 1960
One of many quality ORIGINAL classical recordings MAINLY UK FIRST PRESSINGS I will be listing over the coming days all from a SUPERB ONE OWNER COLLECTION purchased new in the "Golden Age" 1950s-60s. I have acquired the collection direct from the gentleman's widow - they were bought from new, mostly PLAYED ONCE on highest quality equipment and recorded on reel to reel and then ARCHIVED away. Hence most of the vinyl in this collection is unmarked and just like new. I will point out any flaws (should there be any) as I individually list each one.
This one is DECCA SXL 2158 Wide Band (ED1 label - "Original Recording" at 10 O' clock), (1960) 4/60 on rear cover, matrix 1e, 1d -corrected from 1e. Original liner sleeve in superbxz condition. The labels are in excellent condition. Outer sleeve is near mint with just a small nick to the bottom c flipback. The vinyl looks near mint like only been played one or two times MAXIMUM - please note any lines visible on the vinyl in my scans are simply light reflections and are NOT on the record. Overall this grades as near mint and won't need upgrading.
