Description
This is from a top of the market collection, comprising of just early stereo rarities on Decca HMV, UK Columbia & RCA. First labels issues in Near Mint condition to 99% of them, all described in detail with plenty of pictures. Includes many items rarely seen on ebay.
Uk Decca Original issue SXL 2158 Wide Band ED1 of the Vienna Octet in the Beethoven Quintet for Piano & Winds with Walter Panhoffer and the Spohr Octet.
Labels are Original Recording by.. at ten o clock, with the wide silver band and ffss circle at 12 O' clock, and are deep grooved. Stampers are a nice low 1D1E. Sleeve is the curved cut flipback earliest type, with the ffss arm ad.
This is visually a very strong mint minus with good sheen with one fine mark to the one playing surface (to side 2 did not sound above the music), has clean labels with very few spindle marks, and the sleeve is excellent, as seen in pics, no pen or dirt, no splits or bends.
