DESCRIPTION: Deep Purple LP- Machine Head. UK pressing with gatefold sleeve . Complete with Lyric insert. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Purple TPSA 7504 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1972, though this is a later pressing. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): EX+/NM. Vinyl is immaculately clean with a deep dark sheen. Clearly lightly played and very well looked after. Played lengthy passages of this today on my Pro-ject Deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds almost immaculate. Cleanest "smoke on The Water " I have heard on vinyl for years. Cover is firm and square and has absolutely minimal edgewear, cornerwear and creasing. Inside of gatefold is clean with sharp, clear photos. White inner has a little discolouration. Insert is EX with only very light wear. It hardly looks like its been out of the cover and has never been hung on a wall for sure. Clean labels. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Great copy, looks and sounds fantastic. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES (INCLUDING SIGNIFICANT INNERS) PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
