well this item (tool) is a french  metal master plate /stamper for a vinyl 7" pressing for Depeche Mode's Blasphemous Rumours/Somebody Double A side Single

. There r negative and positive plates - this one is a negative metal masterplate

an item u won't find in the shops - i bought this amongst a bunch of other Depeche Mode merchandise from someone in france who partly sold

his collection.The acetate comes in a white record jacket (inner cover) with a sticker and details as "Mute Records","19/10/84"etc.
