Description

Here it is Metallica and Diamond Head fans. This is Diamond Head's "White Label Album," released by Happy Face Records (the band's own label) in the UK in 1980. This album has the same songs on it as the "Lightning To The Nations" album released a year later. This copy you are looking at is one of 1,000 ever made, which were solely released to subscribers of Sounds magazine in the UK, in an effort to promote the debut of the forthcoming album. Needless to say this is a very rare record. I played the record once with an expensive turntable and stylus and copied it to tape so I could listen to it instead of playing the record. The record is in NM (near mint) condition. The jacket and inner sleeve have absolutely no artwork whatsoever. The jacket is just plain white with no identifying marks, just the same as it was at the time of release. The inner sleeve is a plain generic plastic type with 4 steps how to "Care Of Your Record."

This is your 1/1000 chance of owning a copy of this original rare piece of vinyl, given that 1000 copies still exist. According to Goldmine's Heavy Metal Price Guide, this record is worth $300 in NM condition, which it is. I will list this album with a low reserve price, however. I must let it go so I can raise some money for my flight training this fall. Sometimes the record hobby has to scoot aside for more important things.
