Dire Straits ft. Eric Clapton : Wembley 11 Jun 1988

Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Concert

Private Pressing - UK 1988

You are bidding on an ultra rare limited edition UK press of the legendary 1988 concert at Wembley Stadium on 11th June, 1988.  This is widely regarded as one the of the best concerts Dire Straits ever played as a band, with stand out versions of such songs as Brothers in Arms and Romeo and Juliet.   Eric Clapton features on second guitar on this show, being drafted in to replace Jack Sonni, guitarist from the Brothers in Arms tour who wasn't able to play because he had just had 'two lovely babies'.

This very rare pressing is from the UK radio / tv broadcast mix of the concert.  Other versions take their source from the US radio mix which sounds much less atmospheric in my opinion.

Please check out the photos - plays very well VG+ one small cosmetic mark on one side that doesn't affect play but shown in the photos.

UK Seller.  Will post worldwide but ask for price at checkout.
