Disque Zon-O-Phone No. X-2186 from the International Zonophone Company,
On the record's back side is much information. Two companies are listed: Société Française du Zonophone and Compagnie Belge du Zonophone. The record is said to be importé. Around the spindle hole it says "CH. & J.U." Qu'est-ce que ça veut dire??
Mssrs. LAFITTE and BAËR sing from the first act of Gounod's "Faust". They are from the Paris Opéra.
The record plays well.
Though I have not sold 78's through eBay for the past several years, I do have much experience in shipping them since 1998. I enclose the records in a capsule that "floats" in a sea of crumpled newspaper inside a new 12" by 12" by 4" corrugated cardboard box.
