Description

Dixieland Jug Blowers / Jelly Roll Morton and his Red Hot Peppers Victor 20415 'Doctor Jazz' / 'Memphis Shake'
10" 78 rpm record, original shellac recorded circa 1926, released 1927.
A phenomenal, must-have 2-sider of hot jazz and hot jug band music from the late '20s. This is a fine playing copy. Includes Kid Ory, Johnny St. Cyr, Omer Simeon, George Mitchell, Johnny Dodds, Earl MacDonald, Henry Clifford, Curtis Hayes. Recorded for Victor at the Webster Hotel in Chicago.

ITEM DETAILS:  Scratches / some grain / label wear / wear typical of age. Sound is good with some background noise common with 78s. Your playback may vary. The jug on B-side is bassy, and it thumps on through in fine fashion on this classic record. If you don't have it, you should. The record plays well on my setup. See photos and ask any questions.
