Description
Donald Byrd "Byrd's Word" Savoy MG-12032, Red/Silver 'deep groove' labels, 1956, mono. w/Frank Foster, Hank jones, Paul Chambers, Kenny Clarke. VERY nice. Record and labels are in VG+/NM- condition with some light wear, light sleeve marks, a few light hairlines - a nice player, despite some crackles and a few wooshes. Pressing retains a good deal of its original surface sheen. Cover is VG+/NM- condition; the laminate front has a few light pulls, the back cover has one tape piece at the edge. Though the seams and spine are generally solid, there is a 1" seam split at the center of the top edge, just now becomming apparent. Still a clean copy of one of Byrd's earliest LPs.
