Doors – LA Woman 1971 EKS75011 1st press A1/B1 VG++ excellent A SUPERB COPY
I have owned this since new.
The disk is detailed in DISCOG and confirms it as first press from UK in 1971.

Sleeve: Curved end card sleeve which has transparent plastic window on front and which has pictures of the Band. When the inner sleeve is in this gives a great effect – see photo There is edge wear and a small tear in one of the corners of the inset (see photo). I would say VG++
From discog: Original pressing in die-cut "Cellophane Window" sleeve with rounded corners and yellow inner sleeve. Artist name DOORS is embossed on front of cover. Elektra butterfly label.
These all describe the record on offer and being first press.
Also US Catalog number EKS-75011 appears on cover rear side and inner sleeve.
Inner sleeve: Original yellow paper sleeve, blank on one side to allow the above effect to be secured. The other has an interesting picture of a crucifixion.
As seen I have catalogued this disk in ink on upper right side. One edge of the inner sleeve has parted (looks like it needs a bit of glue).
Vinyl: Still has a great sheen to it and despite fact I did play this a lot back then I can’t see any scratches /blemishes so Excellent.
The disc has the Elektra butterfly label
I have test played this on my Linn/SME/Naim system and it is truly superb and the clarity and crispness of music is fantastic and I would say as NEW. There is some very very light surface noise between tracks and occasional light pop (as you get on a new record) on both sides. The one slight annoyance is the start of Track 1 Side 2 has a but more surface noise - crackles (why I now prefer digital!). However, rest is fantastic. You will not be disappointed with this record.
