THE MAN FOR ME (alternative version) / N-A-50-33-11 ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single. Music by ENNIO MORRICONE orchestra directed by BRUNO NICOLAI lead vocals by CHRISTY. Original Italian pressing on PARADE label (PRC 5035) from 1967. Desirable, soundtrack grail and fabulous double-sider ;) Rumoured to be the first film score collaboration between the maestro and Library king, Bruno Nicolai. Features the best vocal theme on original vinyl by Italian mod girl, Christy (aka Maria Cristina Brancucci) of "Deep Down" Danger Diabolik infamy. Our soundclip opens with her killer psychedelic pop song THE MAN FOR ME (actually an alternative version of the theme heard in the film's opening titles). Thunderous 'beat' orchestrations by Bruno Nicolai and infectious female backing singers / counterpoint male scat harmony (most probably by I Cantori Moderni Di Alessandroni). Great for DJs with booming production sound. The N-A-50-33-11 side (aka CONNERY : CONGIURA theme) is also superb. An obsessive, exotic and percussion-heavy psych jazz instrumental. Lots of breaks and cinematic brass stabs with an aggressive chase sequence / film noir ambience. Outstanding mood music for the pop art / James Bond espionage caper spin-off, O.K. Connery aka Operation Kid Brother aka Operation Double 007. A cult spoof spy film directed by Alberto De Martino starring Neil Connery (the real-life brother of Sean Connery ;) / Daniela Bianchi / Adolfo Celi / Anthony Lawson / Bernard Lee and Lois Maxwell. The actual film plot is built around the brother of James Bond being sent out to foil yet another criminal attempt at world domination. The film's cast even included several actors from the official James Bond film series... Adolfo Celi was in Thunderball / Daniela Bianchi in From Russia with Love / Anthony Dawson in Dr No and Bernard Lee and Lois Maxwell were always the best M and Moneypenny characters. Striking and bizarre artwork sleeve showing Neil Connery in full Scottish regalia with archery bow and arrow (the deadly weapon film gimmick used to kill his victims). Very rare OST 45!!!     

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition overall on "The Man For Me" side with a just a few hairlines / faint scuffs from storage. The "N-A-50-33-11" side also looks hardly played but does have some star splash shaped patches of opaque coating from the original pressing process. Light surface noises. Booming production sound. Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. Tiny wear mark to outer edge of one side of label. The soft card picture sleeve is in VG++ condition overall with some ring creasing / ring dirt marks (to back sleeve). Edge and corner wear. Seldom comes up for sale. Very rare OST 45!!!
