One of the great things about being based in Nashville is that every now and then we run across a record that was recorded in Nashville and pressed on a small Nashville label that is really hard to come by.
In the case of the record we are offering here, this is a total understatement.
This is an original pressing of an insanely rare piece of vinyl, pressed on the tiny NSR (Nashville Recording Services) Label in Nashville many years ago. The copy we are offering here is NOT a reissue and NOT an import. Allegedly, only 100 original copies were ever manufactured.
The band was from Lansing, Michigan and the record is sought after for its over the top, really heavy lead guitar with lots of fuzz sound. Four of the songs are original, written by members of Earthen Vessel. Band member include John Sprunger, Sharon Keel, Dave Caudill, Ken Fitch, and Ed Johnson. Songs Include “Life Everlasting”, “You Can”, “Let Jesus Bring You Back”, “I’ve Been Walkin’”, “Coming Home” and “Get High”.
COVER: The cover grades EX. It has no seam splitting, no tears, and no writing. It does show light corner rubbing, a bit of edge wear, and a small amount of light surface wear. There’s also a rub on the top seam, measuring about 1/2 inch wide. There are three small and very light creases on the front near the bottom of the spine. The cover has no cut out or promo marks anywhere. Overall a very nice example of a small label cover from this time period.
VINYL: The record looks like it has had just a small number of plays. We carefully cleaned this LP on a VPI Machine. There is nothing on either side anywhere near being able to be felt on the grooves. The vinyl itself has a little manufacturing ghosting appearance but the vast majority of it is in the dead wax areas. Side 2 easily grades a nice EX and the only thing keeping Side 1 from grading the same is a bit of superficial circular groove marking on a few of the grooves of the first song.
