Description
After taking a year off from Ebay, I am returning to sell some items now that I have the time to devote that my customers deserve.
Up for auction is the legendary Jazz Funk LP, "Movin' On" by the East High Jazz Band, W. Sullivan, Jr., Director, Coronet Records, 850C-2724, 1969, Stereo.
East High was and is in Columbus, OH.
The band was co-directed by Dean Francis, then a student at East High who went on to become a professional and highly regarded musician, involved in producing and performing in many R&B and soul groups in Columbus, including the Four Mints, Timeless Legend and The Talent Exppo. He passed away in 2012 at the age of 60.
There is no date on the album, but I found one source that dated the album in 1969. Judging by the clothing and hairstyles, it could not have been much later than that.

Record has surface marks, but plays with no skipping and only light static in parts. Labels clean except for one light soiling spot. Album cover has discoloration and soiling, particularly in bands on front and top edges. Wear on bottom and top edges. Short piece of taping on lower edge. Still no splits.
Back of album has lined blocks with ads from local Columbus businesses, such as in a high school yearbook.
Bid early and often. Copies of this album are getting harder and harder to come by, even in its city of origin.
