Description

Absolutely beautiful copy of the 1961 Decca pressing of The Best of Ella Fitzgerald on Decca mono DXB-156. Beautiful early thick vinyl, deep groove pressing, which sounds WAY better than the awful, cheap MCA repressings in the 70s and 80s. The cover is way nicer too. This copy is truly a gorgeous one, as well. The discs are both nearly mint and play flawlessly and just beautifully. There are a couple of very light superficial scuffs but they don’t affect the play. Really beautiful sound. The laminated gatefold cover is also near perfect, with only a little lamination peeling at the lower left. Otherwise almost immaculate. This is truly a spectacular early copy, very hard to beat.
