Original US pressing from 1987 on CAPRI RECORDS, Capri 10187. Founded by jazz-record collector Thomas Burns, the small record-company is known for their brilliant recordings and “keeps the jazz alive”since the early 80ies, recording people like Ray Brown, Red Mitchell, Bud Shank, Grachan Moncur III.

This LP contains nice latenight- and bopjazz in the tradition of Elsie Bianchi, Audrey Morris a.o. Like them, E.Rucker is backed by bass & drums and she plays the piano and sings in a program with half instrumental and half vocal tracks. A great line-up with all musicians being in top-form, varied tracks plus E.Ruckers sensitive vocals and her Bill Evans influenced piano style make this debut-album unique and it’s definitely worth to be discovered !
