This is the rare UK 1st press of ‘Don’t Shoot Me’ by Elton John. This earliest press is complete with the very earliest and true 1st A2/B2 matrix, with Agong and Bang! hand engraved in the run-out on both sides. The vinyl is translucent red when held to the light. The vinyl is complete with the inner booklet, the 1st press plain inner sleeve and laminated Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve.
The record is in Near Mint condition. The vinyl is superb, extremely glossy, every track looks sensational. The label is bold and clean with vivid colours, bright text and no spindle wear.
The booklet is in Near Mint condition.
The record sits completely flat on the turntable and when played the sound quality is sensational. The vinyl plays through exceptionally clear and bright. Very rich, bold sound from start to finish.
The 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition. The image is superb, the colours are vivid and it is sharp and completely unworn. The edges are extremely firm, the only tiniest detail is the slightest laminate crease in the corner, but this is insignificant this sleeve is sensational.
