Description
If you have viewed any other of our listing you will be aware that we are having a clear out of the loft to save for a holiday and we have found a Very Rare Elton John, 7" Single Lady Samantha (1969 UK) on Philips Records BF 1739. The vinyl on this copy remains in excellent condition with just a couple surface scratches/scuffs to show for its forty years.
We have done a little bit of research on this single and it is available but apparently is Very Rare hence the starting Bid being more than we normally would go for we have seen this selling in Mint condition for £120, but this was a mint condition single being sold by a Record Dealer. Please note We are NOT record dealers my husband is just a collector of vinyl, loves a bargain and has done for the last 35 years!!!! Noted below is a little bit of information about Elton John and this single for your information:
This was Elton's second ever single following his stint with Bernie Taupin as staff writers for Dick James, but by the summer of 1968 he had begun recording singles for release under his own name. Even though they were giving songs to other artists who had hit singles, neither of his own early singles on Phillips sold well.
