Description

RCA Victor 47-6382 "Milkcow Blues Boogie" b/w "You're a Heartbreaker" - first issued as Sun 215 (Elvis' 3rd single) released in 1955.  When RCA Victor signed Elvis to an exclusive recording contract they bought ALL the Sun Recordings from Sam Phillips (owner of the famous Sun Recording Studio in Memphis) and immediately issued the Sun Singles on their own "dog & horn" label.  RCA Victor "white label - promo copies" are definatley the first original issue Elvis Presley records as they were manufactured before the commercial release.  This promotional single was issued in 1956 in very limited quantities for a selected few radio stations.  One side of the lable has a purple "ASCAP" sticker and the other side a yellow "BMI" label which indicates where the radio play royalties were to be paid.  The stickers might be able to be removed - I haven't tried.  The record has been enjoyed but still looks to be playable.  A RARE 1956 ORIGINAL ELVIS PRESLEY COLLECTIBLE RECORD.
