Comments: OK folks here we go... This is considered to be "...the Biggest Picture Sleeve Find of the 21st Century..." - Jerry Osborne in Presleyana VI Page 69. This is the FIRST EVER PICTURE SLEEVE TO FEATURE A PHOTO OF ELVIS! Released in December of 1955. This is the only one known to exist. It was featured in Presleyana (Page 58 for details and Price. Full color Page 69 to announce its existence). This is the exact one (not a repro or fake) which was featured in the book. Attached are scans of the sleeve, 45 and Appraisal from Osborne's staff. Please see the book online or hard copy to read the history of this item. It is very interesting!!
This Picture Sleeve and 45 were obtained through an estate. There were found framed along with other Elvis Sun 45s. Not much is know about the person who these belonged to. As the expert's best guess was this was a traveling salesman's promotional item.
