ELVIS PRESLEY – ELVIS’ CHRISTMAS ALBUM (LOC-1035) 1957 FIRST PRESSING with GOLD PRINT ON SPINE
RECORD: VG with numerous light hairline scuffs on both sides. There is a concentric scratch on “White Christmas” that results in some momentarily audible disturbance but does not skip. Some random audible “ticks” are noticed in the quieter areas but nothing that results in any skipping or repeats. This Rockaway pressing was play-tested in its entirety and met with pleasing results overall. The labels are clean and attractive but show a small amount of wear at the spindle hole as well as several light spindle marks on both sides. The matrix numbers end with 3S/4S.
COVER: VG+ Gold Lettering on spine variety with some spotted wear along it. There is a ½-inch lower seam split at the open end as well as wear along the open-end edges. Fortunately, the spine is not split open like so many others of these that are out there! Some paper pulling is seen on the front just above the “Chris” of “Christmas”, most likely from stray tape that was removed. Some spotted shelf wear is noticed along the upper and lower edges and there is some evidence of handling with all pages of the still-intact Photo Album (please see all photos). There is no tape, writing or tears anywhere on this cover nor on the photos inside of the gatefold. The original RCA Victor inner sleeve is included.
