Description
ELVIS PRESLEY – FROM MEMPHIS TO VEGAS (LSP-6020) FIRST PRESSING, PROMOTIONAL COPY WITH TWO BONUS PHOTOS!
RECORDS: VG++ (EXC) with beautiful, glossy surfaces! The records are so very close to NM with only a few extremely light hairline scuffs which have no effect on the audible performance. This Hollywood pressing, a two-record set, plays beautifully! As a First Pressing, this is the “Error Credits” label variety which erroneously shows the songwriters for “Words” as Tommy Boyce-Bob Hart and “Suspicious Minds” as Frances Zambon. The error was noticed approximately one month later and the Side 2 label was corrected to show B., R. and M. Gibb and Mark James, respectively. This album was released in November of 1969. The matrix numbers on the two records in this auction are (Record 1) 6S/6S and (Record 2) 5S/6S.
COVER: NM- with only the very slightest of ring wear being discernable. Most would say that there is no ring wear. The back side is stamped with “NOT FOR SALE – PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY” at the upper left corner but it was impossible to capture with the camera, possibly due to the mostly black surface. This impression is reflected onto the inner sleeve which holds Record 2. This cover is extremely solid with absolutely no seam splitting. All corners are sharp and the inside of the gate fold is simply pristine! A truly stunning, original cover. The two original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40D) inner sleeves are included.
BONUS PHOTOS: NM- Photos “a” and “b”, as labeled by Jerry Osborne in his “Presleyana VIII” (2017). These photos look essentially brand new but upon closer inspection, photo “a” (right-hand photo in photo provided) shows a very minor central upper edge bruise while photo “b” shows some minor bending to the two lower corner tips. These photos are truly beautiful and as original as you will ever find.
GOOD LUCK!
I COMBINE SHIPPING! $4.00 for the first LP, then 25 cents for each additional LP. International Shipping is available to select countries.
